To say that the economic news is "gloomy" is a gross understatement!

Our leaders (in spite of all their talk and posturing) aren't going to bail you out either. Hey, if they had the answers do you think we'd be in this mess to begin with?

The banks, lenders, oil companies, big business, and other privately owned institutions aren't going to bail you out. They're a major part of the problem.

Don't look to your stock broker either. And our "friends" at OPEC? Well, let's not even go there.

"WHY the credit repair business" you ask?

Did you know that even during GOOD economic times, about 1 out of every 3 or 4 Americans have problems with bad credit?

That's 75 to 100 million people - even during a BOOMING economy!

Now just imagine the overwhelming need for credit repair services when the economy is on the skids!

But first let me share with you how I turned a tragedy into a goldmine...

In 1993, after some unfortunate and stupid decisions on my part, I lost my business and had to file Chapter 7 Bankruptcy both personally and on the business. I dove into a real deep depression. In fact I spent just over 6 months in bed doing nothing, feeling bad about myself. I refused to answer the door or the telephone.

Within months I had lost all of my friends. Fortunately my mother kept visiting and calling (Cheers to all mothers out there that don't give up on their sons!). The depression kept getting worse...

But it took me 5 years and a lot of heartaches just to get to that point.

By then, I had made new friends and they started to ask me to help them with repairing their own credit. At first, I was more than happy to comply, but then it got to be an almost full time endeavor as people I didn't even know started to contact me.

So in 1998 I wrote a book that spelled out how you can repair your own credit "Repair and Create Dynamite Credit in as little as 34 days" and started my own Credit repair firm.

I wanted to make it affordable for people that were in my predicament, not like the law firms that were charging upwards of $2500 per client. I never really understood how they could charge that much to someone that was in trouble financially. In my opinion it's down-right stealing.

Business boomed in just a few short months when one day I received a call from a client of mine that had purchased my book on the Internet. Kay asked me how she could start her own business repairing credit for friends and family.

You see, she had taken my book and used it to repair her credit and now, just like me a few years ago, others wanted her to do the same for them.

And that's where the idea was born (Thanks Kay).

So I turned to a colleague of mine who had turned his part time business into full time earning ½ a Million dollars a year just repairing credit for his clients. He no longer did the work himself but had hired 2 ladies that did most of the work. He just met with his clients then turned over the file to his assistants.

At the time he was earning $42,000 on average per month. He upgraded from his home office to a cozy professional office. What's amazing is that he is an avid golfer and spent most of his time during the week on the golf course while his assistants did all the work.

Anyways, we met at his favorite restaurant and I asked him if we can collaborate on a project to build a "How to start your own Credit Repair Company". I would do most of the work and would run the content through him since he had been in business much longer that I had. I made sure he understood that I would market it and we would split the profits. (Not much work on his part)

To this day, I will NEVER forget the stare I received from him. It seemed to go on for several silent minutes, when he finally point blank blurted out:

"Why the f&$#^ would I teach someone else to make money when I am raking in all the dough. F&%^$@# and don't call me again as%&*!." as he stormed out of the restaurant sticking me with his portion of the bill.

I froze, I didn't know what to say and I certainly didn't expect that reaction. I must have been frozen in time with a certain disbelief look on my face because the waitress came to my table and asked if I was all right.

After picking my pride off the floor and at that moment I vowed to beat that "jerk" at his game and create a start up kit for anyone who had the ambition to be their own boss.

…… and so for the next 9 weeks, I locked myself in my home office (with occasional restroom, food and nap breaks), sat down and outlined step-by-step how I had started my own Credit repair Business.

I wrote non-stop for what seemed to be days at a time and added all the materials I personally used in the business, including the attorney written contract, all the letters and forms as well as some of the marketing materials I used. I was hell bent on getting back at the "jerk" and nothing would stop me. After 9 weeks, I emerged from my office with a 3 ring binder and 1 CD. It was a proud moment in my life.

So in 2001, I was the first to offer a Home based Credit Repair business start up kit and since then many copy-cats have come and gone selling knock offs for $49 with very little content. We are still around today doing better than ever and I am now releasing version 2.0 of the kit.

One night not long after I had created the Business start up kit, I received a call. At first there was a short silence followed by a male voice: "You'd better not release this information, or else..." then he hung up. To this day I don't know if this was a real threat or a prank perpetrated by some of my more colorful friends that knew the story of the "jerk".

But you know, I don't care!

Credit Repair firms have held this information from the public way too long!!

What you will find is Credit Repair Firms charging you $700 to $8,900 to "train" you.- Ha!

Be very careful. What these firms do is train you to sell their services and provide them with clients. They pay you a small percentage of the sale. You have to do all the upfront hard work.

You will also find a well known attorney selling a similar start-up kit for $15,000 and he has to approve you first. I know of one other firm charging $8,900 for their start up kit.
